At the Hospital

Sitting in the waiting room now, waiting for Jess to come out of recovery and be sent to his next destination. Jess' Uncle Walter is here (and has been all day) along with his brother Lester. Son Trevor was here much of the day but went back to the hospital after we talked to the surgeon.

Dr. Rose said the surgery went well, although it took the full 5 hours. He told us he put 2 titanium clips in place, one over 2 of the nodules and another one in another location beside the first. He ran some tests while they were in the area and confirmed that the vessels were getting the flow they needed while the clamps were allowing no leakages. He seemed to be pleased.

Jess was then moved to recovery and will be there for about an hour-and-a-half. After that, he will be moved up to the 4th floor in the post-recovery area for 24 hours or so. I'm guessing that tomorrow afternoon he'll be in a room, will be able to receive visitors, and will be providing me with some fodder for posting here and keeping you all up-to-date. My guess is that today he'll just sleep.

Can't hog the computer too long so I'm signing off now, but so far, everything looks to be progressing well. Will try to post updates later.
