Frappr Tool

Just wanted to say "thanks" to everyone who has put themselves on the Frappr map at the bottom of the page. Every once in a while, Leo and I will watch it "play" and talk about who it is in Chicago, Istanbul, Mount Laurel, and more that stopped in for a visit. In case you don't know it, I experiment with a LOT of tools like that, partly out of a desire to "keep up" with technology, an partly out of a love of learning. I have too many accounts to manage effectively, a distinct disadvantage to my attempt to try out everything, but I'm going to start a list of things I've tried as a comment to this item, in case you are interested. Feel free to add your experiences to the list.

  1. "Frappr! is the Web's best community mapper. We help turn your ordinary Web pages into interactive, fun and engaging destinations. Frappr! was launched in 2005 by Kun, James and Brian, three friends from UC Berkeley and USC who wanted to keep track of their friends' whereabouts after college. More than 2 million Frappr! Maps have been created so far, and the number keeps growing every day."

  2. "MySpace is an online community that lets you meet your friends' friends.

Create a community on MySpace and you can share photos, journals and interests with your growing network of mutual friends!

See who knows who, or how you are connected. Find out if you really are six people away from Kevin Bacon.

    MySpace is for everyone:

  3. "LinkedIn is an online network of more than 16 million experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150 industries.

When you join, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find and be found by former colleagues, clients, and partners. You can add more connections by inviting trusted contacts to join LinkedIn and connect to you.

Your network consists of your connections, your connections’ connections, and the people they know, linking you to thousands of qualified professionals."

  4. " is an online storage and sharing service that gives you access to your files from anywhere. With Box, you can access important documents from your desktop computer, laptop, or even mobile phone.
